DESCRIPTION:Implicit bias\, or unconscious bias\, is the thoughts and feelings we have in an unconscious and unaware state that affect positively or negatively our actions and attitudes towards people or stereotypes. These biases are developed from a foundation of factors\, ranging from childhood experiences to the people we are in repeated contact with.\n\n\n\nThis workshop examines what it implicit bias is\, how it differs from overt bias\, how to recognize our own\, and how we move past bias through action. Join us for a half-day of self-exploration\, self-reflection and discussion led by professional facilitators from the Peace Learning Center in a brave\, encouraging space. Register by clicking here.
