DESCRIPTION:WYRZ & Avon Washington Township Parks Partner to Benefit \n\nEleven Not for Profit Organizations that Serve Hendricks County\n\n Unique event is October 7th\n\n \nBrownsburg\, IN   WYRZ is a nonprofit radio station and since the station is listener-funded\, that means there are ongoing fund raisers to keep the station on the air. This year\, WYRZ is venturing out of the 'norm' from their annual dinner dance and will be hosting an event like no other\, Rockin' Hendricks County\, taking place October 7th.    \n\nIn the past\, WYRZ hosted events that benefited another nonprofit in Hendricks County\, as well as themselves but the event committee got together to plan an event like the county has never seen before\, and will benefit a total of eleven local nonprofits. This time\, it will be a mechanical bull riding contest\, with local celebrities representing the charity of their choice! \n\nWhen the Avon Washington Township Parks Department heard about WYRZ's new fundraising efforts\, they asked to be the presenting sponsor and graciously\, more sponsors have jumped on board to help make this a memorable community event. The charities have a chance to keep all of the donation money they've collected for the event\, if their rider stays on the longest. The organization that raises the most money will keep 75% of their donations with 25% going to the radio station. The remaining nonprofits will do a 50/50 split with WYRZ. \n\nThere will be several food trucks as well as one serving beer & spirits\, making this event one that must be for adults 21 and older to attend. A silent auction and game area will be available for the crowd's enjoyment. Local group Mississippi Raglips and the River Dogs Rock and Blues Revue will be providing the music.
