DESCRIPTION:Safe Sitter is a medically accurate\, hands-on\, class that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children.  Safe sitters learn: what to do if a child is choking\, safety for the sitter\, how to call for emergency help\, babysitting business skills\, basic child care skills like diapering and feeding\, how to entertain children and keep them safe\, preventing behavior problems and injury prevention techniques.  \n\nSpace is limited for the one-day class\, so register soon.  Students must be 11 to 13 years old by the date of the class.  The cost is $45 per student.  Students receive a Safe Sitter manual and certification card upon completion of the class.\n\nClasses are offered on the second Saturday of each month excluding Holidays and the month of May.
