DESCRIPTION:Safe Sitter is a medically accurate\, hands-on\, class that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children.\n\nSafe Sitters learn:\n•	What to do if a child is choking\n•	Safety for the sitter\n•	How to call for emergency help\n•	Babysitting business skills\n•	Basic child care skills\; diapering\, feeding\, etc.\n•	How to entertain children and keep them safe\n•	Preventing behavior problems\n•	Injury prevention techniques\n\nSpace is limited for the one-day class\, so register soon.  Students must be 11 to 13 years old by date of the class.  The cost is $45 per student. Students receive a Safe Sitter manual and certification card upon completion of the class.  \n\nList of classes for the 2006 – 07 school year:\n\nSaturday\, August 26th\nThursday\, October 19th\nFriday\, December 22nd\nSaturday\, March 3rd\nMonday\, April 23rd\nFriday\, May 25th\n\nAll classes are one-day classes from 9:00am to 3:30pm.  Students must bring a sack lunch and drink.  Classes are held at our Headquarters building\, St 131 or St. 132 in Brownsburg.
