DESCRIPTION:Mental Health America of Hendricks County\, a local affiliate chapter of Mental Health America\, is working in our county to promote mental wellness through information and referral services\, education\, individual advocacy\, and support while linking those in need with appropriate mental health services. \n\n \n\nMental health is essential to everyone's overall health and wellbeing\, and mental illnesses are common and treatable.  While 1 in 5 people will experience a mental illness during their lifetime\, everyone faces challenges in life that can impact their mental health. More than ever today\, it is essential to promote mental wellness to prevent the onset of symptoms of mental illness. \n\n\n\nOn May 21st\, MHAHC\, will be hosting the 2nd Annual Walking for the Health of It\, Wellness Fair and 5K Race at Williams Park in Brownsburg\, Indiana to commemorate Mental Health Awareness Month!\n\n\n\nWe will kick off our event with a health and wellness fair full of vendor booths from agencies\, hospitals and businesses that will offer resources to our community which will promote mental wellness and market our community services.  \n\n\n\nMHAHC hopes you will join us to walk or run the 5K\, sponsor the event\, host a kid's activity\, or have a vendor.  We can prevent suicide and promote mental health in Hendricks County\, but we need your help!
