About Sierra Hess:
My name is Sierra Hess, and I am an LCSW and the Director of County Operations at Cummins Behavioral Health in Hendricks County. I am often recognized for my warm, supportive leadership style and my commitment to maintaining a truly trauma-informed environment within our office. I genuinely love helping clinicians deepen their passion, build confidence, and grow in their ability to serve the consumers in our community. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan—youth, adults, and people from all backgrounds. Much of my professional foundation, however, comes from serving criminal-justice–involved individuals. I spent several years working within IDOC, supporting one of our most vulnerable populations. It was in that environment that I discovered my passion for program development, peer leadership, and macro-level change. That experience ultimately led me to the role I hold today, where I have the opportunity to lead more broadly and positively impact our community at a systems level. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, coloring, and occasionally binge-watching the latest reality TV show . Anything involving sunshine fills my cup—I spend most evenings and weekends on my backyard deck with my daughters, enjoying the outdoors and recharging. Finding small, meaningful ways to take care of myself allows me to continue showing up fully for my team and the people we serve.
