The Brownsburg "Let's Give" Food Drive calls on the community to donate non-perishable food items to help those in need this holiday season. The food drive will benefit the Messiah Lutheran Church food pantry, which helps over 2,000 Hendricks County families struggling to make ends meet. With the current inflation, the demand for food has increased significantly, making food donations more crucial than ever.
The food drive desperately needs donations, as donations are down by 50 percent this year. Donations can be dropped off at the Brownsburg Town Hall (61 N. Green St.), the Brownsburg Parks Administrative Office (402 E. Main Street), the Brownsburg Police Department (31 N. Green St.), Brownsburg Public Library (450 S. Jefferson St.), or the Brownsburg Fire Territory Headquarters (470 E. Northfield Dr.) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays until December 1. The most needed items include canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, rice, cereal, and peanut butter.
"Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference and helps us ensure that everyone in our community has enough to eat this holiday season," said Community Relations Manager Shelby Abner.
