The Brownsburg Town Hall Green will be filled with the smells of barbecue and the sounds of live blues music for the Town's first Blues & BBQ fest on Sunday, Sept. 10. The family-friendly music bash will feature live jams from noon to 7 pm with Indianapolis' super soulful artist Bashiri Asad, Orlando's the Buddy Blues Band, and blues powerhouse the Gordon Bonham Blues Band. The event will be capped off with a headlining performance by Queen Delphine and the Crown Jewels, 2016 winners of The Indy Crossroads Blues Society competition. Pit-masters from favorite area eateries Durant's Southern Style BBQ, RidiQlous BBQ, Hoosier Roots and The Kickstand will serve up slow-cooked ribs, brisket and pulled pork along with tasty finger foods and traditional sides. GiGi’s Cupcakes, Little Philly’s Italian Ice, and Lazy J’s Kettle Corn will offer sweet treats and fresh lemon shake-ups. Kids of all ages will enjoy games like foot darts, Connect 4, Jenga, and giant Pong. There will be a bounce house for the little ones. Admission to Blues & BBQ is free, as is parking.
