You can experience an educational adventure and visit the Log Cabin Homestead, a hands-on and interactive historical experience, during a free family-friendly community event. Take part in history brought to life through activities and lessons such as making butter, writing with quill and ink and chores. As part of their study of Brownsburg history, all BSCS third graders took an immersion trip to the cabin in September.
Originally built in 1998 as a gift from the Brownsburg Sesquicentennial Committee for the school district, the log cabin sat unused for many years. The BHS History and Environmental clubs researched history and native plants from the mid-1800s and helped bring the cabin property back to life. Come see the cabin for yourself.
