The Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership and the FastStart Business Accelerator are offering a series of short seminars dealing with new product development. This series of programs is intended to help entrepreneurs, inventors and owners of established businesses who want to commercialize their innovations by providing information and insights about the process of transforming ideas into profitable products. The individual sessions in the series are: • (October 5) Research Before Risk: Evaluating the Market and Technical Feasibility of a New Product Idea Presenters: Brad Kelsheimer, Rose-Hulman Ventures and Polly Boruff-Jones, IUPUI Library • (October 12) Myths and Realities of Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights and Trade Secrets Presenters: Hamid Piroozi and Stephen Rost, Bose McKinney & Evans LLP • (October 19) Successful Licensing Strategies Presenter: Christine Orich, Bose McKinney & Evans LLP • (October 26) Commercializing New Products Presenters: Kenneth Brown, Jr., New Product Development Professional and Julian Karras, Baldwin-Wilson Development Corporation Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. each date. Each session will run from 7:30 to 9:30 am. The registration fee for an individual session is $30.00. A special discounted fee of $100 is available to attendees who register for all four sessions in the series. All four seminars will be held at the Duke Energy complex, 1000 E.
