Ladies’ Afternoon Tea with Historic Wedding Dresses
Hendricks County Museum will host a Ladies’ Afternoon Tea featuring historic wedding dresses on Saturday, August 18 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm, at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds 4-H Conference Center 1900 E Main St, Danville.
Take a refreshing trip to the weddings of yesteryear and reminisce with friends. Delight over the dresses, traditions, and celebrations of Hendricks County’s weddings over the centuries. These are dresses not usually on display at the museum.
Violinists will welcome you to the display and a variety of delicate sandwiches, scones and tea, on charming old-fashioned tableware service.
Hendricks County Historical Museum is at 170 S. Washington Street in Danville, just one block south of the courthouse square. It is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Built in 1866, it served as the sheriff’s residence and jail until 1974. It is a great resource for the history of our county.
