Be Champions for the Community During Summer Blood Shortage Season

As summer approaches, local blood providers are encouraging Chamber members to step forward as Champions for the Community by helping prevent a critical blood shortage during one of the most challenging times of the year for blood donation.

Summer months traditionally bring a decline in blood donations due to vacations, school breaks, and holiday travel, while hospitals continue to rely on blood every day for trauma care, surgeries, cancer treatments, and medical emergencies. Community leadership and support are essential to keeping the blood supply strong.

The Chamber encourages local businesses, employees, civic leaders, and residents to help spread awareness, support local blood drives, and inspire others to donate. By working together, Chamber members can make a direct impact on patients and families across our community.
