6030 W. 62nd St., Indianapolis, IN 46278 Order deadline is March 3rd. Call Tammy at (317) 347-6670 to order or to volunteer. $7 for 10 fresh-cut daffodils, $10 for flowers and vase or $350 for a full case of flowers. Great for a business giveaway (plus you can write it off)!!!!
Daffodil Days is an exciting special event representing hope in the fight against cancer. People give a minimum donation in exchange for a bunch of 10 fresh-cut daffodils which have been transported from the daffodil fields on the West Coast. They are offered in advance of their normal blooming schedule and, thus, give a head start to spring.
Daffodils were selected for this event since this flower represents the symbol of hope, much the same way the American Cancer Society does.
Originally initiated by the Canadian Cancer Society, Daffodil Days was started in the American Cancer Society in 1970. Millions of flowers are distributed by the American Cancer Society each year.
New this year, people can also give a donation to the Gift of Hope, which allows your American Cancer Society to deliver daffodils to local patients, nursing homes and those in need of a gift of hope in your community. Please indicate this when calling.
