Safe Sitter Class

Description

Safe Sitter is a medically accurate, hands-on, class that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children. Safe Sitters learn: • What to do if a child is choking • Safety for the sitter • How to call for emergency help • Babysitting business skills • Basic child care skills; diapering, feeding, etc. • How to entertain children and keep them safe • Preventing behavior problems • Injury prevention techniques Space is limited for the one-day class, so register soon. Students must be 11 to 13 years old by date of the class. The cost is $45 per student. Students receive a Safe Sitter manual and certification card upon completion of the class. List of classes for the 2006 – 07 school year: Saturday, August 26th Thursday, October 19th Friday, December 22nd Saturday, March 3rd Monday, April 23rd Friday, May 25th All classes are one-day classes from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Students must bring a sack lunch and drink. Classes are held at our Headquarters building, St 131 or St. 132 in Brownsburg.
